This 18-year-old kitten came for a consultation because she had lost a lot of weight and was vomiting.
When taking an x-ray, we saw that in the abdominal area he had all the intestinal loops to one side, causing a "mass" effect. When doing an ultrasound, we were able to verify that the left kidney had an overgrowth, compatible with a tumor.
Both kidneys were working well, but one of them was putting pressure on her stomach, causing Suki to be unable to eat.
So we decided to go into the operating room and perform a nephrectomy (removal of a kidney).
This procedure would allow Suki to lead a normal life.
Here we leave you some images of Suki's surgery, the images of the kitten, her owner sent them to us a month after the intervention.
Thank you very much Sharon for trusting us!!
Kate, a 6.5-year-old German Shepherd, began to stop eating and lose weight, despite having a very bulging abdomen.
We proceeded to perform complete tests and x-rays, where we were able to verify that he had an infection. Furthermore, in his abdomen a very enlarged spleen could be seen that displaced the intestinal loops caudally, generating very great pressure inside his abdomen. Reason why Kate didn't want to eat and was in pain.
We decided to enter the operating room and perform a splenectomy (removal of the spleen) to eliminate the condition, as well as antibiotic treatment to treat the infection that caused the spleen to be enlarged and to prevent it from spreading throughout the body.
Kate's spleen weighed 3kg.
To this day we continue to follow up with Kate and we can say that she is perfect.
Below we leave you images of the surgery.
This little Siamese fell from the third floor and his family brought him to the center quickly.
We examined him and took x-rays, where we realized that he had a fracture in his palate.
We entered the operating room and proceeded to correct that fracture.
In the images you can see how it turned out and how small Tommi was at that time.
Tommi today lives a completely normal life and is quite the big guy.
